We woke up early to catch the sunrise in Phan Rang, in southeast Vietnam. At 5:30 in the morning, a crowd swarms the beach, playing soccer, running about, swimming, walking, and just sitting in quiet repose. Meanwhile, fishermen slowly troll the waters with their nets.Once the sun gets above the horizon, around 6 o'clock, the locals scram for shade and the beach quickly becomes deserted.
