Other gifts included a bowl of fruit and a bottle of whiskey. At a 100-plus degrees and steam bath humidity, we were all sweating bullets!

Drawing a crowd in Phan Rang
Locals in Phan Rang gawk as we line up for the procession to the family home, beginning the wedding ceremony.
